Ammonia burns, or just color?

So I got this little lady this past Saturday. She was shipped to me from Iowa, and was in her shipping back for almost four days.. she had this reddish mark on her head, but I can't figure out for the life of me if it's ammonia burns, or just her color. She acts fine, swims around, chases the ghost shrimp, eats, and everything.. her water is being kept clean, but I just wanted to check.

She's a little bit bloated because she has eggs and also ate some of the ghost shrimp's food today. e.e It's gone down a bit already, though.

Can you test the water? If so what are it's readings?

Well my own tank has fresh water, and she had them when I got her from the box.. my parents were the ones that got her and the male out of the bags they came in since I was at work, so they dumped the water. =___=

That can be a fairly normal place to have a touch of red--she looks like a cellophane marble, perhaps? Hard to tell with just the topview. If she's behaving fairly normally, (well about as normal as can be expected after shipping), she's probably just fine.

Okay, thanks. (:

She's been zipping around since the day after she got here, so I'm guessing she's fine.

You can always contact the seller to see if she looked like that before she shipped.
