Yes, you will need a 25 watt heater. The adjustable, submersible ones are the best, IMO.

You will need to set it so the water stays between 78 - 82 degrees.

Here is one I recently got off Ebay and I am very happy with it:

There are other brands out there as well that are very good - such as Marineland (have some of those also & they work well) - but this one is a good price even with the shipping, IMO, and the shipping from that seller was fast.

Hope that helps & I'm sure you will get plenty of other recommendations! :)

You can buy heaters at Walmart or your lfs. I use Tetra whisper and Marineland.

Don't get the ones that claim to not need "adjusting" , they don't work :\ I had one for a ten gallon and one in my 55 gallon and neither heated it well. In fact, the 55 gallon is actually about 60-70 degrees (Got goldfish in it) with the heater on and plugged in. I went to petco and got a marineland heater, and it works amazing! Keeps it right at 80 :)

Not always true...
Walmart sells Tetra submersible heaters that are pre-set to 78 degrees, and I find that they're fairly reliable in smaller tanks. It kept my 2.5 gallon at around 76 degrees...and the plus is that they're cheap compared to other heaters!
