Bloated???

Hi guys!

Today I went to the petstore... I'm so bad! lol I ended up getting a female betta. So I put her in the divided tank, but I ended up realizing that she was very social and never went after the other fish! :) So I put her with the community but am keeping a sharp eye on her.

Anyway, she looks bloated. Like, really bloated. Is this normal? I heard females sometimes look like that when they're full of eggs, but Folly never looked like this before! I'm confused. So, here are some pics. Help?

Thanks!
~Alissa

ps. She's got no name! Any ideas?

Extra Info:

Temp: 81 degrees Fahrenheit

Cycled: yes

Tank Size: 14 gallon

Tank Mates: 1 molly, 1 platy, 1 guppies and glo fish

Filtered: yes

Aerated: unnecessary (filter provides ample bubbles)

~I floated her bowl in the tank for nearly an hour because her bowl's temp was so different from the tank's (about 70- ish to 81)

I tested water 3 days ago~ it was all safe although I can't remember exactly

Got her from Petco today

She looks a little chubby to me, but not bloated ;) She might just have some eggs. Lol, personally, I like it when my girls are a tiny bit chubby.
Perhaps cup her and float her in he tank when you feed the others though, just to make sure she doesn't get TOO fat.
Shes an adorable little girly though <3 I'm sure shes enjoying her new 14 gallon home! xD

Thanks! lol

How much do you think I should feed her? You really think it's because she eats to much? None of the other fish looked chubby to me... actually I was considering getting another fish because I couldn't bear it if she had been sick. So I got her... but i'll do that for now. Thanks!

Wow, she's gorgeous!

I feed my female just two pellets instead of three because she's so tiny, you could try that? It might be eggs, as well.. Willowisp is cellophane so I can SEE the eggs, though. xD

Yup, shes probably still adjusting....just let her be and keep an eye on her ;)
I wouldn't worry too much about actually seeing her pooping...the only one I ever actually catch in the act of pooping once in a while is one of the ones in the 5 next to my computer, and I'm around this tank most of not all of the day.

Its okay for females to be a little on the chubby side, like yours is, by the way ;) Its not a big deal.
