New Girl =D

I went to Petsmart to get some plants for my tank... and came back with an adorable girl! I'm not sure what tail type, and I can't find the cord to upload pics yet, but I will describe her: She's yellow with black speckles all over her body, and pinky-red fins. Her name's Aurorum (Latin word for gold). She's so adorable! She's the only girl in my 20G sorority now, but I was planning on getting some more girls soon. Is it okay that she's the only girl in their now, or should I move her to a temporary tank and put her in when I get my other 5 girls?

She sounds very pretty!
She should be fine in the 20 gallon, it's huge, but if it's not bare she should have fun exploring it. :)
But some bettas might feel overwhelmed with that much space alone, still it shouldn't harm her.

Its got tons of plants, two small ceramic pots, and a decoration that looks like it is part of the Parthenon ruins, so I'm guessing she'll be okay. She also has a ghost shrimp buddy that she doesn't mind, so I think she'll be at home till I got the other girls. Thanks :)

Oh yeah, she'll be fine! She'll be eating up all that room! Though you may have to re-arrange things when you bring your new girls home, and take her out and then add them all at the same time so she won't be territorial. I've never kept a sorority though so I don't have much advice lol

Thanks ;) I've been thinking I'll probably buy a new decoration or two and some more plants before I get my other girls, so rearranging the tank before adding them won't be a problem. Thanks for the advice. :)

You're welcome! If I wasn't infatuated with my boys I'd try to have a sorority, alas... I have not had a chance. I can't wait to see pictures when you get it set up!
