A rescue of sorts. I looked through all the bettas on display and asked if there were any more females. The girl working there told me they put them all in a bigger tank on the wall display. I thought 'Oh, cool a sorority then.' No. It was a display of tetras (don't remember the kind...red and white and see-throughish) with 2 female bettas in it. :S One was practically dead and this girl was so bloated she was having trouble swimming. (I was later told that the person who looks after the tetras tends to overfeed them. Lovely...well they didn't look bloated...I'm pretty sure my new lil lovely was eating it all)
She was really aggressive, chasing the Tetras and scrounging for yet MORE food. I had to get her.
Not only was she hilarious, such an ornery little piglet...a total gutz! But she was really pretty (massive stress stripes and aggression aside) I saw a gorgeous green shimmer on her and was sold.
She really does lack any grace. I put her next to my other females and she rammed the side of her bowl and the first thing she did when I put her in her new home? Looked and me and did a huge poop. LOL
Haven't named her...she's pretty enough to be given a girly name but it just won't match her, she's a bully and a greedy gutz. And she's just now getting used to having her own space/ nothing to battle over. She seems a little lost.
Alas she's on a 2-3 day fast diet because that tummy and her red little bum are a concern.
Here she is: (Crappy pics, sorry!)
Looking for another fishy to boss.
(I'm pretty sure if I got another female (to make 5) and started a sorority that Lark, my big MG Female would put her in her place though. lol)
