Could someone help me identify the plants I have in my Betta's home? I just picked them at random at the pet store but I would love to be able to research them. Sorry my husband is traveling with the camera so I had to use my cell.
The first one I think is a Dwarf Bacopa.
I don't know of the second one.
The last one does really look like an Amazon sword, or at least a plant that looks very close to it. I have an amazon and compared it and they look very similer. I don't know what else it would be.
Whatever it is I am having a real bugger of a time keeping it anchored in my gravel. Does anyone have a nifty way (and easy pls) that I can make my plants stay in the gravel and not float, and make it easy to place them again after water changes???
Mine would float out sometimes, so I got some river rocks and placed a bigger one on the roots, that keeps it from floating out. The roots will start to grow in the gravel. :)
I don't think it would harm the roots unless the rock was so heavy it crushed it...which the river ones I used haven't done. I put one on one root on my anubas plant so it won't float and it hasn't hurt it either.
Try posting a pic of the mystery plant in the plant section of our parent forum TropicalFishKeeping.com. Someone should be able to tell you what it is.
