Ugh, that's so terrible... e.e So assuming they even survive they're probably doomed anyways.

People and their infatuation with nature... sometimes it makes me so sad. ):

Me too! And froggies are so cute, and I love house geckos! Doesn't matter that they are everywhere, I still save them from my cat anyway! ;)

At least this project only lasts a WEEK! hopefully, the ones that do survive will be given back to the pet store, or put in appropriate homes!

I do have a question? Nathan's brother said the betta likes to wander the little tank, sometimes he'll pick up a large piece of gravel and spit it out, is that bad or weird? We don't think any of the pieces are small enough to actually fit in his mouth(but he sort of can hold onto it while it's sticking out in front of him) but I had just never seen that before and I'm not used to fishies!

At my high school we did something like that, but we used live plants and worms only, and released them when we were finished. I've seen some schools where you have a 2L soda bottle closed off and you're not allowed to feed or open it with things like fish and hermit crabs inside. ):

But I'm glad for you, congrats <3
I've actually seen this!
Back in 7th grade, that was my science project for a week or two. We used two guppies in each 2 liter, with a live plant. I was really careful with mine, making sure i planted the plant correctly so the fish would have food. I managed to keep the two little guys alive, and as soon as the project was over, I brought them home and put them in a tank. The has got to be something about animal rights that these projects violate. I mean, less than 1/3 of the fish lived!

If you read this thread, you can see how badly the project went. As of right now, our betta is the last remaining fish, one of only two animal survivors(the other one is a spider)
