I think that's a wolf spider or a grass spider. They're big! Very cool. :D

Well I mean if it's outside not bothering me I'm not going to bother it. But I've had spiders creep on me in my house before and it terrifies me. I just can't stand it. And I know they have their own place in nature and take care of bugs and stuff... but I'm sure me killing the ones in my house isn't going to make a dent in the spider population LOL

@OFL ... Pairs. Great. That'll be a fun surprise. lol

I actually like spiders. I'm still not to the point of handling them w/ bare hands, or not being surprised when one materializes out of nowhere, but they're awesome. In fact we have a rather large spider in my band's practice shed... it built an incredible web in one of the windows... and we named it Charles. No idea how to sex a spider but regardless... it's Charles. lol

There are a few spiders in my apartment I let hang around since they do take care of the rest of the pests, and they're small and out of the way.

@vaygirl, I'm almost positive it's a grass spider, we have a few out on the patio.

I have plenty of fun spider stories if you guys don't get too squeamish. lol

I have one almost exactly like that living in my basement. We call him Fred. XP He's very well fed- he eats all the crickets that escape from my beardie's viv. And they're HUGE.

I don't know why people are so afraid of spiders (no offense meant to anyone.) They're so cute in a wierd way, lol. I really want a tarantula, haha.

The only thing that freaks me out about tarantulas is their HAIR.
My mom is an arachnophobe unlike anyone has ever seen before, and if I had one she'd never visit. Could you imagine if it escaped?? lol!

I'd love to have a pet spider like a Tarantula!

I have a great deal of respect for spiders and all critters in general....but....I don't touch them....not happening and I am a country gal....lol.......

Oh and forgot....the spider nest...maybe that is why it wanted back in the house...or it was just a house spider.....lol......but I am with you......my hands do not touch them.....lol......I do squish the black widows I find in my garden...but they can kill you......otherwise, I like to catch bugs and toss in their webs and watch them suck the juice out of them after they wrap-em up...pretty cool to watch.....

We don't get black widows around here, but the brown recluse is the Nebraskan equivelant. I rarely see them (though they're classified as "house spiders), but they stay the heck away from me.. I'd rather not get bitten then have my flesh rot off as a result.
