Silk Plants?

I have these two silk plants that I stuck in a ct fry tank and the water got cloudy and disgusting I didn't know what was, wrong and then I removed them and my issue was gone.
A few weeks later I washed hem and stuck them in a twenty gallon the water went cloudy after 2 days.
I have never heard of silk plants doing this.
The plants were used and washed well. Anyone know anything abou this?

that's very bizarre. Maybe they have some sort of residue on them from I don't know what. Try scrubbing them with a mixture of aquarium salt and hot water and then rinsing really well with hot water. That should do the trick.

Could they be harboring bacteria that's causing a bloom? I've never experienced it, but I've heard that can cloud up your water.

I'd think though that what Jexx rec'd with scrubbing them with hot water and aquarium salt, and then letting them dry out completely would kill any bacteria that might be causing a bloom.
