Betta's are solitary fish, and do best living alone if it's a male. If it's a female, it can sometimes live in a large group with other females (but even then, there's a risk of fighting).

Goldfish are cold water fish, betta's are tropical fish, and they should not be housed together at all.

You should check out the Betta Fish Compatibility forum. A lot of people have said there what types of fish can go with your betta. Under no circumstance can a goldfish be housed with a betta. They're cold-water fish, your betta is tropical. And they would eat each other or vice versa.

You have to have at least a 10 gallon tank to even think about giving your female tankmates.

Females are just as aggressive as males shrimps or snails are the way to go if you have at least a five gallon. For fishy friends, no less than a ten gallon is recommended.

You need at least a 10 gallon to have any tankmates for her.

Goldfish are not aggressive, however they cannot be housed with betta's. Betta's are tropical fish and require warm water. Goldfish are cold water fish, and do not do well in warm water.
