Yeah, mythical creatures are cool. Some people just go too far to make them "cute."

Like, vampires: Traditionally, they were undead, like zombies, and sucked blood. Other variations sucked out life energy, but the point is, they were scary. There were, at some point, entire communities that believed in them, and they were not thinking "Ooh, he's hot, and he SPARKLES!" No, they were thinking "I'd better stake grandma in the ground before she gets up and tries to kill us all." If you're going to create your own mythos, and they're interesting, fine. But coming up with some half-butted "science" to justify it, no. That's just not good storytelling.

yeah trying to make something that's wrong....right is just not good storytelling nor right lol. So what mythical creature is your fav.?

Uhhhh... well, I'd have to say vampires. Done right, you *can* change them and make the story interesting, and I enjoy that.
