Anyone else LOVE snails?

I got a blue mystery snail a couple months ago and have fallen in love with him! He's grown HUGE and is just so entertaining to watch. I got a gold mystery snail yesterday who is TINY in comparison. But can't wait to watch him grow too! So what is the best care for these guys, like food wise? Thanks!

Nah, snails gross me out :P Besides, reading the horror stories of the smell of dead snails discourages me even more.

Lol, I love them. I had some as a kid when my family had a 5 gallon with 3 mollies, but that was forever ago. The water is too soft down here for them :/

I miss my mystery snails. The only snails I have now are MTS and they're not much fun.

You need to provide a lot of calcium rich foods for the snails. Spinach is a good one. Try to find calcium enriched algae wafers. As long as they have a good supply of calcium they should do fine.

Awesome help for the food....I was about to ask around for that because I HAD my 2 snails withe a betta (one in each tank) but changed things around and have 2 golden snails (think they are also called apple snails...no clue - check out the picture) and since they no longer were getting leftover food that my betta didn't eat I had no clue what to feed the little guys....

I have a nerite snail and he's brilliant at eating my algae.

However; I got a beauty the other day...he's a sulawesi snail (I've named him shrek).

I used to have a BIG snail. It was the size of my palm when it died ... I dearly loved that critter.

I think snails are really cute! I have two right now but they just poop SO MUCH. It's a real pain. They poop more than my fish does!!
