Mystery behind cloudy water!

So my 11 week old fry have been living in nasty looking cloudy water for a few weeks now. I do 90% daily water changes and I was confused as to why it got like this. Well I have two snails in the tub and they bred, so I'm gonna make it my snail breeding tub...but I noticed something in the back corner....a Q-Tip I use to feed my microworms!!!!!! Do you think that's why the water was cloudy?

Not rinsing the BBS before you feed can cause a bacterial bloom and cloudy water.....
