My office betta....

My betta sits on the corner of my desk at my home office, so we spend alot of time less than 2 feet apart. I just started noticing that whenever I'm on the phone he comes up to the side of the bowl with his little face almost touching and holds really still just listening to me the whole time I'm on the phone. I really do think they can hear! He must like the sound of my yakking or something! I think it's just sooo cool how smart these fish are. He watches me all day, doesn't miss a thing...just wanted to share!

Yes, it really comes as a surprise to a lot of new betta keepers how endearing these little guys are. Each one has an individual personality and they're definitely intelligent and receptive to their owners.
