Is my fish a double tail?

Hi quick question - I think my betta is a double tail - or maybe a halfmoon? Can somebody help me clarify - hope this pic is good enough so you can tell, taken with my phone camera...thanks

It's hard to tell from this pic what his caudal fin looks like unfortunately, but based on the shape of his dorsal and anal fins and his body shape I'd say yes. My double tail has very similar body shape. And when he swims he looks like an arrow head lol your betta's coloring is beautiful!

That certainly is a big dorsal fin, so I'd say yes... but at the same time, not sure, hard to tell. When he's swimming, does his claudal fin split into two?
If it's just a little split, most likely not. If it's a big, very pronounced split, then yes.

But most DBT's have stubby bodies, so I've heard. A flaring pic would be great.

Oh look at my avatar! That's my Apollo and he's a double tail. His fins are much bigger now... I think it's getting hard for him to swim XD If your betta looks like him all flared up then he is most likely a DT :)

Thanks everybody! - When he swims around sometimes I see a split but it's a small one, they're always big and full like in the picture above. But I do get the arrowhead reference, sometimes he does look like that. If I can get some better pics I'll post them. I appreciate the feedback!
