Last week I got a new Betta fish. I had not had one in years, so I needed a new tank and everything. I've been learning a lot more about their care and now my new boy (named Topaz) is a happy Betta! He has a heater, a live plant, and oak leaves in his tank. He is also fed pellets (he's finally eating them!), frozen bloodworms, and frozen brine shrimp.
Here you can see his tank (2.5 gallons).
And here is Topaz. I know the pic is horrible quality. I want to wait a few more days for my boy to be fully adjusted before I try to get better pics.
He isn't really this green in person. He is bluer with some red in his bottom fin. He is a double-ray crowntail. I had never seen anything but Veiltails in petstores before so I had to have a "fancy" one. lol!
Well, I just wanted to share my new fish with everyone. I'm just relieved he has been eating and active the past few days. He finally seems to be adjusted to his new home. :)
