Whiskey and his new tank!

He's all settled in. I'm happy to say goodbye to that Marineland Hex 5! He's just getting over a BAD case of fin rot. Whatever that brown stuff was on his driftwood, it completely fouled the tank. I have high hopes for this longer tank being much better for him.

"Where am I?!"

"I'm healin'!"

I love your aquascaping! How do you do it? Are there special "rules" to follow? Lol.

Do I have rules? Lol! I don't think I do. I guess I try to keep the corners full and the middle open? Small plants in the front, big in the back. Any decor is set off-center instead of the middle because I'm an off-center kinda girl. :P

Then I just drop rocks and stuff where they'll fall. I might move that big pink rock in the front. Not liking where it is. The driftwood this time is fake. You can't really see the one on the left because I stuffed my big anubias into the middle of it.

Just out of curiousity... where did you get your plants and fake driftwood? I would love to put driftwood in my 5 gal.

They both came from Petsmart. The plants came in those big plastic tubes they have. Some of those tubes are aquatic plants and some are not. I got Java fern (they call it tropical fern but Microsorum Pteropus is written underneath), amazon sword, and they actually had wisteria this time. :D
