Sorority Drama

Gah.
Exactly how long is the nipping/chasing still supposed to continue? I've had my sorority set up for less than a week, and things were going well... The pecking order had changed several times, and things had seemed normal. Now all of a sudden Daiquiri has decided to be a little meanie. She's been chasing everyone else around for a few days now, and is the only one still nipping and terrorizing the rest. Is this normal? Should I wait it out? or should I just nip it in the bud and remove her mean little butt now? I'm planning on getting another female (from the previous owner of Faye) very soon. My goal is 6 for the tank in the end.
Advice? I expected this, but not for this long!

It lasts up to a few weeks. My last one took around 2 1/2 weeks.

I hope it ends soon! Daiquiri's the only one causing problems and she's ripping everyone to shreds! Luckily only fin damage now...

If it continues try getting a clear breeders trap so she can get used to them without being able to get to them. Keep a very close eye on them because I have one female that killed another female. Just watch out.

I've been watching very closely. Looks like she's getting nipped just as much as she's nipping. I might have to take you up on that, DH. How much do those cost?

Nifty. I'll have to get one. In the end if she's still being a little monster I may end up just giving her a seperate tank entirely.

Of all the females I've put in my sorority only one had to be pulled out...I tried with her over and over and finally decided she was just too aggressive. Now she has a 2.5g tank in my sons room.

Okay, that's it!
Daiquiri and Faye are going to destroy each other if I don't separate them NOW. Daiquiri is in her own separate 1 gallon tank temporarily. She and Faye are torn to shreds. Once Daiquiri heals up, I'm going to attempt to reintroduce her, and if that doesn't work, then i'm off to the store for a cheapie 2.5 gal. The rest of the fish are co-existing well. Watching closely to see who takes the lead.

I think it can take up to a month (apparently).

I've never had trouble with my girls; however one started chasing the other girls around and she did it for a week or so, I put her in a breeders net in the tank when I left for work; when I got back I went to see if the was ok; she flared at me (I thought oh no she'll be worse), then I let her back out into the tank and she's been as good as gold since. So for me the 'naughty corner' method worked.
