I'm really starting to understand the whole show quality betta thing.. As beautiful as they all are, I can really SEE when you get a good, good betta!

Aquabid today, saw a fish--over 13 people had bid on it, bringing the price all the way to 100!

MAN, those people REALLY WANTED THIS BETTA!

I just thought I'd share the first time I saw such an expensive betta! Wooowee! Pricy, pricy, I hope the new owner takes good care of him. I bet this guy will make pretty babies!

I'm not sure if I would have paid 100 dollars for him, but clearly someone had him in mind for something!

He's pretty but he's not worth $100. His outer caudal rays are shortened which is not desirable. You want it to be a perfect "D" with the edges almost coming to a point. The shortened rays give the edge a rounded appearance. I also think I see an imperfection in one of his scales. I also don't like that you can't see the dorsal in the pictures... you have no idea what could be going on with that.

Besides that he is a very nice fish. Definitely breeding/show quality.
