i dont' have any pictures to show you yet but i feel very good today as i upgraded my betta's home. I've had this fish about 5 months, he's a fancytype that cost me $20 which i always thought was expensive for a betta, but he is beautiful. When i first got him i had him in a glass bowl that i got at the plant store, problity a gallon size. A few months later, got a 2 gallons plastic type. He seemed to be much happier in that. And today, i picked up a Marina 5.5 Gallon Goldfish Starter Kit. |It was on for half price at my lfs. It seems pretty perfect for a betta. I just can't imagine anyone putting a goldfish in the tank though. For the first time my betta has a filter and it doesn't seem too powerful and he seems very interested in the filter. I moved over the 25 watt heater, my live plants, the kit came with 2 silk plants. its too bad the tank doesn't come with a light but i have lamp that i have been using so far. I am so looking forward to not having to do 100% water changes which i expect were stressful on mr betta (i know orginal) but i just don't seem to name fish. i'll tell you its so nice to see fishy so active, he's been exploring his new suite. today was a good day

i hope this works, i took a few pictures of my guy and of his house. the tank is curved and plastic so i wasn't able to get a good shot but you can get an idea. i plan to add more plants to the back.
thanks to whom deleted the repeating photo. the pictures don't really do him justice, he has a metal shine to his scales. i'm not sure if he likes having the filter in the tank, i may have to figure a way to reduce the air flow, its not very heavy but it moves the surface water slightly. thanks everyone
A little bit of current, but not too much, is actually perfect. Bettas often enjoy playing in the outflow. But if you want to add a baffle, thats your decision. It would leave it how it is and just chillax.
