PLease help!!!

I just got my new betta. The first day he was flaring almost constantly. Today he just slowed down alot and sit at the bottom or top. I tested for ammonia and ph . PH was 7.6 and ammonia was o.5 I did a 100% WAter change and ammonia tested normal again. He also has not eaten at all since I got him. I have no Idea what could have happened. My brother also noticed a small lump on his side. He has also slowed breathing. The water temp is 81. I feed him hikiaro betta pellets and frezze dried blood worms. His tank is three gallons with one silk plant and a small clump of hogwart. He is the only one in his tank. That is about it.

Well, if you just got him it's likely he's still settling in, most bettas do that when you bring them home.

What's the water temperature?

If that is him in your avatar...wow...nice looking Betta......I agree, often it is just a settle-in period-however, with the ammonia reading it sounds like you may be leaving the uneaten food in the tank and it is causing water quality issues-how many days have you had him?

In a 3g with one Betta-unfiltered I would make twice weekly water changes-1-100% and 1-50%...
If the tank is filtered I would make twice weekly 50% water changes

It's filltered and the temp is 81. I have had him for 2 days. Could he have constapation?

Probably not, he's probably settling in.. my newest took five days before he calmed down and would eat/act normally.
