Warning: pic SPAM ahead. Lol.
I had a really, really bad week last week, so in order to cheer myself up, I asked my parents if they would take me to the Nampa Petco (which takes pretty good care of their fish and has really beautiful ones) a few miles away from where we normally go in Boise every week. I was kind of surprised when they said yes.
A very nice lady who lives in Nampa fosters cats from the shelter. Poor things are being put to sleep every day because there's so many, and this woman takes in as many as she can, to foster and then adopt out.
And...I fell in love. Introducing Ayla, which is a Turkish name meaning moonlight. That's exactly what her eyes remind me of: twin moons.
Even though Mom always swore "no more cats" after our third one died, Mom fell in love with hers this way, and she said that it's close enought to my birthday to count as a gift. So we spent last week getting everything set up, and today we brought her home. She's around five months old right now.
My parents made it clear from the start that Ayla is solely my responsibility, and honestly I wouldn't have it any other way. She's in my room now as we're getting her settled and used to our dog and other two cats. She's absolutely precious; I swear she's always purring, and so lively! I'm going to have to watch my fish carefully with her. Ayla no can has sushi.
Edit: I didn't realize how blurry the pics are, sorry. She never stays still long enough to get a good picture; she'll always come to nuzzle you or beg to be held if you so much look at her.
