I just bought a betta last night, and his fins are kinda curved. He was one of the biggest there as well. I'm glad to know it's okay too. I was getting worried. He doesn't look in the best of shape.

Shew, I'm glad I don't have to worry about gill damage since he's never had problems breathing!

I'm glad there are other people are rescuing these bettas, poor things, it's a crime what people have done to them :( I'm sorry about your DT, Ajones, but I'm glad you've bought him and given him a good home!

LikeDiscoSuperfly, his fins will probably get better some, at least Victor's did. They're still curled, but not nearly as bad! His ventral fins were curled all the way up to his body, they looked like little nubbins, but now they hang down and are just looped over once at the tips.

Phew, okay good. He looks better than he did last night. Well I think he does, he probably really looks the same. hehe.

Your poor guy, I'm glad someone like you got him so he had a nice home to get better in.

Aww, thank you! I'm trying really hard to be a good owner

I hope your new fish uncurls a bit, but I'm sure he will! Good luck with him!

I think the fins will uncurl once he's put in clean water.

I think you are a great fish owner for being concerned about Victor!

I know, Logan was a walmart rescue and lonnie from petsmart. I feel really bad for bettas in petstores that are forced to live in cups!

just so you know, I was not implying that he had gill damage. I'm just saying you did a good thing by rescuing him, and giving him nice clean water!
