*taptaptaptaptap...taptaptaptaptap*

So i heard a tapping nose come from my new bettas tank, i look over, hes hold a snail in his mouth dragging it on the gravel and flailing it around. So i watch for awhile and then he charges into the side of the tank and the snail pretty much dies, he started flailing back and forth and then the shell came off and the meat of the snail was in his mouth. I was all like "Aw~ he likes escargot~". Im happy and all, being that thats the first time ive seen him actually eat, but i just wish he would eat the pellets and shrimp.

I feel a bit bad for the snail, but at least your betta got a nice meal out of it...

Well, some bettas are really picky. Try a different brand of pellet, or you could try soaking the pellets you have in garlic juice.

Aww, poor snail. lol
I tried putting snails in my bettas tanks, they all tried to eat them. Thai (male) kept sucking it up and spitting it out, then got annoyed and dropped it on the bottom cause he couldn't get to it. Autumn did the same thing but she would spit it out and smack her mouth together like she was tasting it.

My bettas did that to the small pond snails before I moved the snails to a little 1 or 1.5 gallon tank :P Now they have apple snails in the ten gallon, and usually leave them alone :P

I guess he likes escargot. lol That was pretty smart of him to smash it against the side of the tank. Poor little snail.
