She's a bit chubby.

Hi there, i have what may be a problem, but may not be. I guess that's why I'm asking. I have a pair of Dwarf Cobalt Gouramis which I think are male and female (one's a lot bigger than the other and has red trimmings to his fins, the other is just blue.) and the (assumed) female has been looking rather wide for some time now. it looks as if she's swollen with eggs, but she's stayed the same size for about a month now. Could she still have eggs - they're in a community aquarium and there can't really be a good moment to lay them? I really know little about gouramis so should i worry. or just feed her less!

I know this will sound bad, but one of my guppies did that, and well..... It exploded. But 5 others where fat and did fine. Does "she" get most of the food?

Exploded! That doesn't sound nice! She doesn't get any more of the food than the other fish in the tank, the two angels and the gouramis all come to the top and eat together so it's hard to tell, but i think it's pretty much even shares. She looks healthy and her colour is lovely (i'd put a photo up, but my camera's rubbish...) She doesn't seen stressed out either, she's really friendly, to the point where she'll take food from my fingers. She's just got a bit chubby!

I'm sure females are much duller in colour so by the sounds of it you have 2 males but without seeing them it's hard to say. That would rule out 'her' having eggs if it's the case. Sorry I can't be of more help though.
