Frozen blood worms - two thumbs up :)

I just gave my guys (and gal) a frozen bloodworm for the first time..and even the finicky eater went nuts
over it! One worm was dangling out of Chalupa's mouth, it was so funny...The girl didn't know what to make of it at first, then attacked it.

I let it hang from my finger tip & made them chase it. :) haha i'm easily entertained so sue me.

just be careful feeding them frozen foods, they can introduce parasites and bacteria into the tank. freeze dried are disease free but contain chemicals. its up to you.

BTW next time you feed them bloodworm dangle them off a toothpick or skewer not your finger or else you get all the bacteria in your finger in the tank

Oh really?? Hmm...Don't they treat the frozen food with something before selling it? Or some brands better than others?

I'm pretty sure they treat them to eliminate those things (at least that's what the packaging says on mine). As for the finger thing, make sure you're hands are clean :P I use my fingers to feed my fish all the time (I make mine jump for them :P) Gives them excersise

EDIT: I would avoid the use of pointy objects when feeding a betta. From experience, mine would end up skewering themselves. If anything, get a dropper, suck up water and the food, then teach them to wait for the dropper to let the food go.

Yeah I'm really careful with washing my hands, not with soap...before working with the tanks
I scrub them/under nails in hot water like a surgeon does LoL
