Bored?!? :(

Well usually Alexander will happily chase my finger and what not almost like a puppy dog playing xD but latley he seems to lose interest in it right away. Like if I try having him chase my finger he will chase for about 1 minute at the most and then swim away. I hand feed with him,do a few tricks,and have him chase my finger around but he seems to be overly bored with it. So,any other ideas to stop bordom or to get him more interested. FYI,He does have plently of hiding places,live plants,and a betta log :) Thanks ahead of time!

I hold a mirror next to my betta's tank for a minute, then watch him flare! :D He'll patrol his tank for hours after that, looking for the "intruder" that he saw earlier! :D

I tried that once and he ran away from it..:P Thought he flares alot at his reflection in the mirror and at my finger but I guess mirrors scare him? not sure lol! :) Any other ideas??? :]
