Question Golden Apple Snails :) HELP PLZ

Hey there:)

I recently set up my 63l tank again. It has been standing empty for a while. So i havent added any fish yet. Im going to get 2 or 3 later this evening to help with the cycling, but i have added 3 apple snails. Do i need to feed them? And what do i feed them?? Ive had them in there for 2 days now. And theres no algae in the tank for them to eat.

I think there's a site called It's like this one, dedicated to all things apple-snail, haha.

From what I read myself over there, they'll eat most vegetables.. cucumber, romaine (not iceberg) lettuce, carrots, etc. Algae wafers and gel foods are also great if you can get them to eat them.

Remember to leave a couple inches of space from the top of the water to the top of the tank.. apple snails are amphibious and will crawl out of the water. (Also your tank, I hope you have a lid.)
