betta has clamped fins

I just bought a new half moon betta about two weeks ago and I got home from class today and his fins were all clamped together. What could possibly be wrong with him?? He is swimming fine....his water temp is 78 degrees. he is in a 5.5 gallon heated and filtered tank. I really want his fins to go back to normal....please help!!!

I tested the water and everything came back normal....I really have no idea what could have stressed him because he has been fine until last night. I'm not sure he's going to make it though because this morning when I got up he was laying on the bottom of the tank not moving :(

How is he doing? If he's not doing so well and is having issues swiming, get him in a shallow hospital tank (it can just be a smallish tubberware) and float it in his tank so he'll stay warm.
