Hello, I bought my blue veiltail betta (named Heroman) around a month ago. He used to have a tank buddy named Sir Reginald III esq., however he died from sickness I believe about four days ago, and my roommate is getting a new fish this weekend.
I live in a dorm where many people have betta fish, and I think I am the only person that knows a thing about bettas and I regularly clean the fish tanks of dying fish.
Heroman lives in a half gallon tank (an improvement form sharing a divided half gallon tank with Sir Reginald) with a live plant, two fake plants, pretty rocks and a betta leaf which used to belong to the deceased Reginald.
He is fairly feisty and is always interesting, more noticeably when I put now -his- copy of a dvd next to his tank, which he loves to attack through the plastic. His water is changed once or twice a week, and he is fed nightly with flakes.
Well that's about all I can say about Heroman, other than about how he is missing part of his left pelvic fin due to an accident when I first bought him. I look forward to chatting with you all :)
PS: My roommate and I are getting a 12 gallon tank this weekend. Heroman will have more room to be rambunctious soon.
