I just hit the floor...

Laughing my.. err.. butt...off

Look at this aquabid listing.. note the price..
http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/aucti...shm&1289251899

I honestly wonder if they are serious selling a
1) FEMALE
2) with bad fins
3) and a genetic deformity

.... for that price. Any betta for that price is ridiculous but at least it could be a nice one LOL.

She's pretty, but no fish is worth that price!! Especially just for red eyes.

She's an albino (hence the red eye) which is somewhat rare but still a genetic deformity that should NOT be bred for. Just like in most other albino animals, albino bettas usually come with many other genetic problems and usually don't live to expected life span. She shouldn't even be sold. Adopted out maybe but not sold to someone who might breed her.

When you think about it long fins and bright colors came from genetic deformities. That's how the domesticated betta came to be - by breeding fish with genetic deformities. Anyways I think it's because she is albino. Apparently, it's as low as one every 10,000 spawns. Pretty girl too. $200 still seems a bit much though.

I wonder if they just accidentally typed in what year it is. NO way I'd spend that much money on a fish... albino or not!
I think $20 is my absolute limit... about two digits too low. XD

I think maybe they're only using aquabid to advertise the fish and not use it for the money transaction? In their item description it says "Visit -cut out their website- Or see other photos and get attractive prices on my facebook"

*shrug*
