The hat and scarf turned out very nice! I like them very much. Have you ever tried fair isle styles designed on knitting graph paper?

I knit. My aunt taught me how to crochet, but I forget how now :P

Currently I'm making my brother's Christmas present- a scarf. It's ridiculously wide (I did NOT plan for it to be this wide), but hey, he's a guy, that's okay.

OMG, I don't think I'll ever knit a scarf ever again. I honestly hate it, it's so tedious, not fun, and I don't really feel all that accomplished after making one.
I'm looking forward to the future projects I have in mind!

I don't mind them that much. They take a while, but they're mindless. What I do is get out a couple movies, curl up on my beanbag, and knit for a few hours. I get a lot done that way, and because they don't take much focus, I can do a lot of other things while I'm knitting.

Plus I've gotten into strips and patterns which is way more exciting than a regular scarf.

I worked up my own cabled pattern with the scarf and I still hated it. I had fun making the hat though, and neckies seem to be fun and easy too. I'd love to attempt socks and mittens soon.

My mom can crochet very well. She has made a couple of queen/king size blankets and made my two children baby blankets. They are very pretty and I recieved a lot of compliments on them. If anyone is interested I can post a pic of them and prove that not all ugly. She also has been doing it for many many years so I suppose it depends on the persons skills. I on the otherhand have never been able to follow in her footsteps. I tried needle point was I was younger but I dont do anything now.
