Question Betta not eating?

I think he may be picky. I just got him a few days ago and he doesn't eat pellets. At first I thought he was adjusting (2.5 gallons larger than 16oz) But then I just tried to feed him pellets, he didn't eat. right after that he ate some blood worms that I tried to feed him. I tried pellets AGAIN but he wouldn't eat! Is my Betta picky or something? Because I can't keep feeding him just bloodworms!

My betta didnt seem to like pellets for a few days, and now he eats them but I cant watch or be by the tank, and he likes to pick at them untill they start to sink, then eat it.
