Out of the 8 tanks that I own, I absolutely love my 14g. It took me hours to set it up but it was totally worth it. I had to customize the dividers and buy larger mesh sheets to fit this tank. My edges aren't the same color, but it doesn't bother me.
I've had a betta jump a divider before(in a different tank) and this time I wanted to make that everything was completely jump proof.. so I used a system of twisty ties to secure a layer of mesh over top of the dividers. I've had this set up for a couple weeks now without any problems. It might look kind of ghetto lol, but it puts my mind at ease knowing my guys can't get to each other.
I also had to baffle the filter with a Fluval sponge and I put a little layer of mesh over the tube part of the filter to prevent Rousseau's long fins from getting sucked up in there. So far so good, the boys seem happy and they each have their own color scheme and decor.
Here's some pics of the 'jump proof' mesh layer..
The whole set up...
My new guy Isis swimming around..
He must like his new environment, he's made a pretty nice bubble nest already..
