What's the highest you've seen your betta leap?

I read they can jump up to 3 inches

I've seen mine make quite a loud splash going after a snail near the tank
lid, but that was maybe an inch high jump, tops....

Kilo can easily do 3 inches. I think a shorter tail helps him with that. Not long ago he jumped up and landed on the rim of the tank and hung there for a sec before sliding back in. He scared the crap out of me.

I've had one of my girls jump OUT of the tank while I was feeding her. It was at LEAST 4 inches.

My HMPK, Kim, jumped out of his 10-gallon at LEAST 4-5 inches into the bucket I was siphoning water into while I was doing a 1/2 water change... I was out of the room at the time but when I came back he had disappeared and I looked down and there he was, swimming around in the bucket happily.

Kim has got a big personality. :)
