Never seen around here before...

New betta boys arrive at my LFS every Wednesday and I always go to look. Normally VT's in red and/or blue and the occasional CT in the same colors come in. I had been sticking to buying only CT's as they are my favorites, but I came across this beauty and couldn't pass him up.

I am unsure of his tail type and coloration, so if anyone can help with that I will appreciate it.

In his cup last night waiting to move into his 5g hex tank. Notice how light his head is.

After a good nights rest

I've been trying to get a good pic of him flaring to show his full tail spread, but haven't had much luck. I will post one once I get him showing off.

Here are some update pics of the rest of my gang...

Big Red flaring at me showing off his pretty tail

Festivus and his pouty lips

Mello Yello's color getting darker and deeper

Bowie and those gorgeous pectoral fins

Looks like a black-red-copper delta tail, to me. Might even be a super delta.

He looks like a black copper dragon geno super delta/delta. He stretch to a full halfmoon eventually.

I have no clue what he is, but I can't believe the difference in him from the cup to his tank. He looks like a completely different betta! All your boys are beautiful!

Now THAT is a cool fish!! haha

I'd say he's a Super delta. Might posssibly grow to HM, but probably will just stay a SD.

Thanks everyone! Members here are always so helpful :)

I have always wanted a dragon type and delta or halfmoon ever since I saw pictures on the forum. There were other delta/halfmoon bettas at my lfs that were solid blue with white edging. Oh only if I had more space!

He is still kind of small, so I can't wait to see what he will look like once he fills out. I am going to try to get some pics up tomorrow that aren't so dark.

Name suggestions are also welcome.
