I haven't put anything new in there and there's no live plants either, just silk. I didn't think of taking pics, they freaked me out so much I just had to get rid of them lol.

Do they look like anything on this page?

I wouldn't worry too awful much. Most of the critters you find in the tank are just ones that are natural in well cycled aquariums and don't cause any harm to the fish at all. I frequently see limpets and nematodes in my older tanks even though I never over feed.

I checked out the page and they seem to resemble limpets, which from what I gather are some sort of snail? :s how could these get in the tank? are they caused by over feeding like other tank bugs?

I'm not exactly sure how they get in there but they're not harmful. I don't even bother with them when I see them. The fish like to eat them.

d'ewwww! Idk what they are.. But If I were you I'd siphon out as many as I can. Even if they aren't harmful, they are iffy & icky. And anything You or I can't see, if its not harmful, is O.K.

(wow. I sound like an idiotic priss. sorry!)

Aww they don't look too bad to me! I mean if they don't do damage, and only do good..It's not that bad to have a few. Now too many, that'd be annoying!
