Moving to Poland for a year, how can I bring my Bettas with me?

I'm going to do study abroad in Poland for a year, starting next October. I would very much like to be able to bring my Bettas along with me, and I'm wondering if anyone on here has done this or knows of any good ways to do something like this. Before I get blasted, I do have arrangements for my fish to be cared for if I can't bring them with me, so no worries. It's not that there isn't anyone else to care for them, I just would like to have them around under my care.

Taking animals across borders is always a hassle. I would first look into that.
How do fish work on the airline you are taking? Dogs, cats, most mammals need a vet check and then have to be quarantined. I'm not really sure what to do about fish.

Are you staying at a school? Home? Apartment? What are their regulations on animals/fish? If you have a heater, light, possibly filter to plug in, is that ok with where you are staying?

What kind of studying will you be doing? Are there pet stores with the types of supplies you'll need?

Those were my initial thoughts that I would start researching.

My friend just checked if his airline allowed fish, and he brought his betta on the flight in a bag of water. Just make sure he has air and enough water, and doesn't get thrown around to much.

Not to deliberately play devils advocate, but make sure you check on differences between national and international flights.

also, you might want to look into what the change in pressure could do to him during the flight. just to be super safe.

you'd also have to have good plug converters, for the power plugs over there. you won't want to make something explode and have to buy a new one (its not fun).
