Today I will be going and getting 2 new bettas!!! A couple weeks ago my 2 bettas passed away within a couple days of each other. One of them I had had for about 2 years, he was an aquabid betta imported from Thailand, his name was spike, I got him right before I was forced to stop breeding, I sold off most of my stock, but kept him, he was such a character and a love bug!! He was the only betta I had for about 2 years.
Then in Oct. around halloween, I got a new betta, an apricot vt I named Hocus Pocus, he was a rescue from walmart.
I believe spike passed on from old age, he had been slowing down and loosing color gradually, and resting on his favorite plant a lot. I'm not sure why Hocus passed away, he was fine one day, gone the next. I've had that happen before and its very heartbreaking when you have no idea if there was something that you could have done.
Any way Im going to be going to petsmart or petco today to look for 2 new bettas to replace the ones I lost! I'm really hoping to find a nice crowntail, its been a long time since I've had a nice crowntail!! Wish me luck!!
