What type of metal is on a hair bobble?

Ahh, a hairband over here is the thing that holds your hair back but still leaves it down, if that makes sense haha. Like this haha

Not to highjack the thread, BUT...

I recently bought a pack of really flimsy ponies from the Dollar Store with no metal bits. They snap as soon as I try to stretch or twist them into my hair, but do you think they`d be safe to use to attach my plants?

If they don't have any metal bits, then I don't see why not most people use hair bobbles to hold their filter baffle in place,etc

Hmmm...I've never heard of hair ponies before, and I live in Texas! We call them hair ties and ponytail holders.
