Help! Something wrong with bettas mouth!

I put my three bettas in a 3 way divided 10 gallon tank today. My new betta and one of my older ones is doing fine but my one is wrong. I made a buffer for my filter so the water splits in two and he's been hanging out between the two waterways and now for some reason his mouth is stuck open. He's blowing bubbles and going to the top to breathe but his mouth is stuck open. I don't know whats wrong with him. Please help.

all aeration to help him breath. id the tank new??? sometimes the silicon is causing the problem.

Yeah there's areation but it's on the opposite side of the tank but the water flows through the dividers. He seems okay this morning though. The tank is new...I just put all my fish in it yesterday so I guess it was just stress from being in the new tank because he seemed fine this morning.

I didn't cycle but I'm watching for ammonia every day and as soon as I see ammonia I'll do a water change.

ok a lil risky... If you still have the other tanks i would leave 1 in there and the others in the smaller tanks wait a week until the filter accustoms then test then reapeat till al 3 are in.. Thats just me..

They seem to be doing okay right now. I had my two bettas without a filter for months so I should be alright.

Aslong as they look happy and healthy they should be ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully getting my betta next week...
And then hopefully gunna smuggle more in without my mum knowing lol!

did you rinse out the new tank.it's just a reminder if you get a new one

Yup I rinsed out the tank. And my bettas seem perfectly fine except the one keeps getting underneath the baffle on my filter and just sits there.
