0.5 gallon useful for ANYTHING?

I know this sounds dumb, but can you put ANYTHING in these kits? I love the look of them, but I'm not about to torture a poor fish in there.

So can you put anything in them? Like live aquatic plants, or and individual shrimp or snail? Or maybe convert them into homes for bamboo or Marimo balls? Or are the pretty much worthless?

I would like to decorate my desk with one, so I'm curious about what you all think! Thanks in advance! :)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! MAKE A NANO TANK!!!!!!!! :D I wanted to get that same kit! <3 It would look AWESOME with an Iwagumi style setup! :D

Moss and other slow growing plants would probably be ideal. You could put little shrimp in there! :D Like cherry shrimp and just watch them be adorable! <3

How often would I have to change the water on a nano-tank? I would only have shrimps, snails, or plants, but it's still a small amount of water.

a tiny nano tank with come bright red cherry shrimp would be amazing. I would love to have some of the crystal shrimp but they are expensive as all hell, especially for shrimp

they are cute tanks though!
