During college his stomach started hurting really bad and he had to go to the hospital (probablly 11ish-12ish) And ever since then my parents were with him and I got dropped off at home alone with my sister. He might have to stay overnight nobody knows whats wrong and he's preparing for a CAT scan

My sister who's 9 got braces today...

I went on a field trip the whole day at an area on the other side of the island.

I just did my first 100% water change and Neon is super freaked out right now.

I hope everything is okay. Something KINDA the same happened with my boyfriend a few years ago. He waited and waited to go to the ER and when he finally did 4 days later, his appendix had ruptured. =[

The use of the CAT scan doesn't mean it has to be something super hard to treat.
It's a fast, accurate, & painless (for the patient) way to give the docs a clear view of any blockages
or problems in the body. Some things that cause stomach pain come on suddenly but it doesn't mean they are untreatable. I had kidney stones (which radiate to the stomach region) & the pain made me pass out, but they went away.

Was the new water you put in about the same as the old water?
Did it have a different PH or anything (used bottled water instead of tap for example)?
I do 100% once a week on my unfilitered tanks. I catch them in a cup (suck them in),
and cover that cup with a sheet, fill the tank, make sure the temp is about the same as before, then release them back in. They are pretty chill about it.
I have so many unfiltered, I'm going to take the gravel out of them to make less ammonia build up & easier clean up Lol
I'd give him a few days & if he's still freaking out, then check back here for more advice.

Crankyfish: The water's similar, yes, because I always use my tap water + Conditioner during partitial water changes

My brother's better now, but nobody's quite certain what happened /=
