Exclamation Helppppp!!!!!!!!

:(:(:( I dont know what to do. My betta in my 5 gallon (heated and filtered) has been swimming differently. I noticed he has been resting alot in the corner of the aquarium breathing harder than usual. There is an extreme amount of algae in my tank, so i added a oto catfish. He seemed fine yesterday, he is usually really active, swims alot. I'm not sure whats going on, maybe my filter is dirty? I am going to clean out my filter now. Any suggestions???? I am going to cry if this betta dies, he is soooo gorgeous :(

I'd do a water change, maybe 50% and put some AQ salt in the tank. I'm not an expert, so I don't really know what could be causing this, but someone more experienced will probably post a better response then this. Good luck!
