Question Best way to disinfect fish tank?

Hi! My betta Villa is just recovering from a suspected bacterial infection and I want to get his 4 gallon tank back up and running so I can put him back in there in a few days. (Right now he is in a 1 gallon hospital tank).

How do I make sure all the bacteria are gone from the tank?

I am thinking about just boiling water and using that to rinse the tank, plants, etc.

What has worked best for you?? I want to make sure I am not putting him back in a bad situation.

Thanks!!!

You can clean it with vinegar and hot water.Just make sure that you rinse it well.

I've also seen people use a 5-10% bleach solution on tanks & nets...rinse it out REALLY GOOD, let it sit in the sun, then wash it again with plain vinegar, and rinse again. As long as you rinse super good, it will be safe. :)
