What fish to get?

Well, after loosing my first betta, Banana, and my Thai (HM Import), I sort of left the fish business for a while to focus on school (tons of homework and projects), and my horses. But, now that I have school under control and I have my mare going pretty well, I am going to get back into the fish again! Yay! lol

So, currently I have 3 girls, 1 blue marble HM, 1 Copper HMPK, and a Chocolate Dragon HM(I am guessing on the color) and plan on setting up a community tank again :)

To get to the question, what fish should I get for this?

I am going to be using a 20gal H, and know for sure that those 3 are going in, I am going to hopefully get 2 pairs soon, and those 2 girls would go in, plus I want a snail, and some panda cories. I don't want to have too many fish, so I don't know if this will be too much...

glad to see you are back into the hobby its a great one.
my only advice is add a few more girls :) agression spreads out and girls are really fun

I will, hopefully I get some money for the holidays, and after I go to the Reptile Expo near me, if I have any money left from the leopard gecko I want to get(another love of mine lol) then I could import a few.

Happy to hear that you are back into the hobby.
I'm not really good at fish compatibility, so I hope people more experienced then me can help u choose.

But I just wanted to welcome u back in the wonderful world of fish keeping.

We will -hopefully- get to a larger pet store this weekend, if we want to battle the crowds from black friday, and I can get some more plants and gravel so I can get it set up, water was already cycling for a while so we are good there.

Maybe I can get a nice girl there, so there would be 4, instead of 3, and just add the hopeful imports?

Thanks! I remember you from before, MrVampire! You always had amazing fish you were breeding!

I have finally decided what to get.
-My 3 girls now, plus another if they have any that are decent at Petco(our petco isn't too bad)
-Panda Cories, maybe 3-5?
-A Snail or 2
-Ghost Shrimp if my LPS has any

Plus, I need to get a few more plants, hopefully Anubis Nana and Hornwart?

Thanks. Right now I'm focusing on shortfins but I'll be starting a new long fin line soon.
