I'm not sure if my betta has clamped fins or not, or if he does if I should be concerned. I have only had him about 2 months (came from pet store), but the tips/edges of parts of some his fins look kind of curled against itself, which I am assuming is clamped fins. Don't remember if he was like this when I bought him. But it's probably been like this for at least a month, if not longer. Does not seem to be getting worse. Behaviorally he seems great, very attentive, eats normally, builds bubble nests. He lives in a 5 gallon filtered tank. Temp usually around 78 -80 F (will be putting in his heater soon as it's finally starting to get chilly here in FL). Do 1/3 water changes every week. Eats about 2 - 3 food pellets per day. Use API Tap Water Conditioner with Stress Coat to dechlorinate his water - no other water additives used. Does it sound like he could have clamped fins? If so, should I be concerned or take any actions as long as he's acting normally? I can try to take/post a picture later if you think I need to. Thanks!
