Can I feed Him?

So, Just doing some Christmas shopping (bought my betta a floating log) When i saw sea monkeys at the local london drugs. I i were to buy them and let them grow, could i feed them to him?

Also i have been wondering if i could maybe slip him a piece of raw chicken or beef from time to time, as a treat.I know this is not normally what they would eat but would it be okay?

Seamonkeys are just a fancy name from brineshrimp, and bettas definitely eat those, so yes.

Not sure about the meat, though.

Okay, I didn't know that.
Maybe i will go and pick a kit up.
I think live food would be better for a betta, exercise+a meal sounds like a good deal to me.
I know some people on here do feed their raw meat.

When I was younger I used to feed my boys raw meat. whenever my mother bought ground beef I'd grab a small pinch and feed it to them and they loved it. They never seemed to have problems when I did it.

Now I don't do this any more, as I grew older and wiser I realised I didn't know what kind of hormones or other chemicals were being given to the cows that could harm the fish. Nor do I know what kind of affect raw meat can have on them, they generally eat insects and other invertibrates, not red meat.

It's safe.
Brine Shrimp (SM) are even more delicate then bettas so anything that could hurt bettas would hurt them. So they don't have any bad chemicals or stuff. :)
