Question sororities or divided tank?

I have a 10 gal with some guppies in there but soon I'll be moving them to a bigger tank. should I just divided it and put some male bettas in there or start a sorority? I have never had a sorority before btw...

I think it might be easier on you to divide the tank and just get males, but that's just my opinion. I think 10 gallons is pushing it a little for a sorority size, but I've never had one of my own. I -have- had a 10gal divided and it worked very well. (:

I currently have both. 2 ten gal's divided, one for males and the other for my too aggressive females. And then one 10 gal for 6 females. Just make sure you put plenty of hides and plants if you choose this route.

well the only problem w/ a sorority is that if I did have a very aggressive female I don't know if I have the space to separate her permanently.... but w/ the divided tank I'm afraid that a divider fails and the males attack each other...
Is setting up a sorority hard?

Right now I have a 10 gal divided in three for three male bettas and one African Dwarf frog.

I never had a problem with my divider at all.. if you take care when making it there's nothing to worry about. You don't fill the tank all the way up to the top so they can't jump over it, either. Mine went from the bottom of the tank to the top and had a large amount of gravel covering the bottom.

You can also get a little thing of aquarium glue/sealant & glue the divider on, thats what i'm doing bc i was worried it would tip over...I have a 10G sorority w/ 6 girls and they do well but the more room the better of course if you can swing it :) Good luck !!!

yea I'm worried there will be many problems if I get a sorority in just a 10gal.... I'll go for a divided tank, so I can only divide a 10gal once right? or could i make three sections?

You can divide a ten gallon in three or four. Most wouldn't recommended four though. But if you divide it in 3 the bettas will have about 3 gallons each.
