I mean it has an auto shut off and stuff i mean what does it do differently? i mean i already have it because the LFS didnt have any lower :(

I have it unplugged until i get a thermometer tonight...i dont want my new fish to have issues

I have been using an ADJUSTABLE 50 watt heater for a 2 gallon and it works perfectly. Just keep an eye on it the first day so you know what setting works best and to make sure it doesn't cook your fishy. Also have a thermometer.

The only problem is mines a set one..and its set to 78 which is good..but wait till i get a thermometer to make sure it stays there :P

TBH, I use 25 watt submersible, adjustable heaters in my one 2 gal. bowl and in my two 3 gal. bowls and they work fine. Just had to fuss with them a tad the first couple of days to make sure the heaters weren't set too high.

For example, if you set the heater to 78 for a small enclosure like 2 -3 gals. it is going to be much warmer than 78. Under those conditions, I normally will set the heater to 72, monitor it & adjust from there.

I just bought a 11 $ one 10 watt set to 78 off the net..be a few days before i get it...should be good eh? :D And Blaze should be ok until then right? better than frying him right?.
